Commercial camera systems are designed around the building: coverage planned for entrances, corridors and back of house, retention set to your policy, and recording on site or in the cloud with remote access. NetraClos designs, installs and supports CCTV and security cameras for businesses and buildings across Toronto, Mississauga and the GTA.
Designed around the building, not around a camera count
Most camera quotes start with a number of cameras. That is the wrong end of the problem. The right starting point is what you need to be able to see and prove: who came through which door, what happened at the loading bay, who was in the corridor at a given time.
We work that back into coverage, then into camera positions, then into what it takes to carry and store the video. The count falls out of the design rather than driving it.
What the work covers
- Coverage design driven by what you need to see, entry points first
- Camera selection matched to the scene, the light and the distance
- Recording and retention set to your policy, on site or cloud managed
- Remote access, so reviewing footage does not mean a trip to the site
- The network and power behind it, sized as part of the same project
- Commissioning that includes checking every view after dark, not just at noon
Retention is a policy decision, not a hardware accident
How long footage is kept should be a decision you make and can defend, not whatever the recorder happened to manage. We size storage to the retention you need and set it so it holds.
Every view gets checked in the dark
A camera aimed in daylight often looks very different at night, when it matters more. Commissioning includes reviewing every view in the lighting the scene actually has.
Corridors join everything together
Entries establish who. Corridors establish where they went. Cover both and footage answers a question rather than raising one.
Getting footage out is part of the system
On the day it matters somebody has to find the right minute, export it and hand it to a person who will ask where it came from. Who can export, in what format and with what audit trail is agreed at handover rather than worked out under pressure.
Open standards protect your investment
We build camera systems on open standards like ONVIF so cameras, recorders and management platforms interoperate, and your next expansion is a purchase decision rather than a hostage negotiation with one vendor.
Retention, resolution and frame rate are engineered together against storage, so the system delivers the evidence window you specified, measured, not assumed.
Common questions
What is the best commercial security camera system?
The one designed around what you need to see and prove: entries first, then movement. The camera count falls out of the coverage design, and the deployment model, standalone, VMS, cloud or hybrid, follows how many buildings and who needs access.
How much do commercial CCTV systems cost in Toronto?
Coverage design drives cost more than camera count, so we walk the site and quote fixed. A single building standalone system carries no licences or monthly fees; cloud and VMS platforms add running costs that buy multi property access.
How long is CCTV footage kept for a business?
To the retention you set, commonly thirty days commercially, sized into storage so it holds rather than quietly overwriting early. Retention is a policy decision, not a hardware accident.
Are my cameras PIPEDA compliant?
Video of identifiable people is personal information, so signage, purpose and retention discipline matter. We set systems up so footage access is controlled and logged, which is most of what compliance asks.
Do you install commercial CCTV across Ontario?
Yes, coverage design, installation and commissioning across Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Hamilton, Oakville and the wider GTA, plus Montreal and Ottawa.

One team from design through commissioning
We cover the full project rather than turning up to install somebody else's design. That is what makes the result somebody's responsibility.
Design
We walk the building, work out what it needs to do and produce a design you can actually price against.
Procurement
We source the equipment and stand behind what we specify, so there is one party accountable for it.
Installation
Our own crews on site for cabling, mounting, terminations and containment.
Commissioning
Everything configured, tested and handed over with the records, credentials and documentation.
Tell us about the building
Send us the site and what you are trying to solve. We will tell you what it realistically takes.
