Hospitality Locks

Credentials you can issue and revoke without cutting a key

A guest room lock is the single piece of technology every guest touches, usually while holding luggage. It has to work first time, and it has to keep a record of who opened the door.

Hospitality locks are electronic guest room locks with credentials you issue and revoke from the front desk, staff access levels and an audit trail of who opened each door. NetraClos supplies, installs and commissions the complete locking environment room by room.

The lock is where security and guest experience meet

Every lost key used to mean a lock change. Now it means revoking one credential. That is the practical difference, and it is why the audit trail matters as much as the lock itself: you can answer who opened a door and when, rather than guessing.

Staff access is the other half. Housekeeping, maintenance and management all need different levels, granted for the right doors and the right hours, and taken away the day somebody leaves.

What the work covers

  • Guest credentials issued at check in and expiring on schedule
  • Staff access levels by role, by door and by time of day
  • Audit trail on every door, so openings can be reviewed
  • Common and amenity doors brought onto the same credential
  • Room by room installation sequenced around the handover programme
  • Front desk and housekeeping staff trained before the first guest arrives

Battery and maintenance planning, before it becomes a call at midnight

Locks fail in the least convenient way possible. We set up the monitoring and the replacement schedule at commissioning so low batteries are a maintenance task rather than a guest standing in a corridor.

Common doors belong on the same credential

A guest should not carry one thing for their room and another for the amenity floor. Common and back of house doors come onto the same credential set.

Fitted floor by floor while the hotel trades

A property cannot empty itself for a lock change. Floors come out of service in blocks, get done and go back the same day, so the number of rooms off inventory at any moment stays something the front desk can plan around.

Certified hardware, disciplined rollout

Commercial lock hardware is graded under ANSI/BHMA standards, and guest room doors take abuse that residential hardware is never built for. We specify commercial grade locksets and fit them room by room on a schedule agreed with operations, so rooms return to sale the same day.

Credential policy is designed with the operator: expiry at checkout, staff access by role and shift, and an audit trail that answers questions before they become disputes.

Common questions

How do hotel door locks work with key cards?

The lock reads a guest credential issued at check in that expires at check out. Every opening is logged, and a lost card is revoked in seconds instead of changing the lock.

Can hotel locks use phones instead of key cards?

Yes. Mobile credentials let guests use their phone as the key, and staff credentials work the same way with access limited by role, door and time of day.

What happens when a hotel lock battery runs low?

Locks report battery state so replacement is scheduled maintenance rather than a guest locked out at midnight. We set up the monitoring and the schedule at commissioning.

Can housekeeping and maintenance have different access than guests?

Yes. Staff access is set by role, by door and by hours, granted on hiring and revoked the day somebody leaves, with the audit trail answering who opened which door and when.

Do you install hotel locking systems in Ontario?

Yes. We install and commission guest room locking room by room around the handover programme for hotels across Mississauga, Toronto, Burlington and the wider GTA.

How We Deliver

One team from design through commissioning

We cover the full project rather than turning up to install somebody else's design. That is what makes the result somebody's responsibility.

1

Design

We walk the building, work out what it needs to do and produce a design you can actually price against.

2

Procurement

We source the equipment and stand behind what we specify, so there is one party accountable for it.

3

Installation

Our own crews on site for cabling, mounting, terminations and containment.

4

Commissioning

Everything configured, tested and handed over with the records, credentials and documentation.

Tell us about the building

Send us the site and what you are trying to solve. We will tell you what it realistically takes.
