Video intercom monitor answering the door

Video Intercom Solutions

Video entry for multifamily and high rise buildings. The resident sees who is at the door, answers from wherever they are, and lets the right people in without keys or guesswork.

One platform, two ways to run it

The intercom platform we install operates in one of two modes. As a SIP system, every suite is an endpoint on the phone network and the service carries a low recurring monthly fee. Through the manufacturer's native mobile apps, each tenant is licensed once, a one time per tenant fee with no monthly charge.

Both modes deliver the same day to day experience: a video call when a visitor presses the panel, answered on the resident's phone or suite monitor, with the door released from the app or handset.

What the work covers

  • Video and voice entry from the door to every suite
  • SIP based or native app operation, settled at design
  • Answered on a handset, a phone or an app, wherever the resident is
  • Deliveries and contractors handled without a resident picking up
  • Visitor and contractor access granted for a window, then expiring
  • A record of who called, who answered and who was let in

The building keeps working when the internet does not

Entry is not something that can wait for a connection to come back. The system is built so residents can still be reached and doors still behave sensibly during an outage.

Deliveries are the volume, not the exception

Parcels arrive all day in a residential building. Handling them predictably takes more pressure off residents and staff than any other single thing an intercom does.

Replacing a panel without rewiring the building

Most towers already have wiring running to every suite. Where it can carry the new system it stays and the job takes days rather than weeks. Where it cannot, we say so before the order goes in rather than halfway through the install.

SIP operation: a low monthly fee per suite

In SIP mode the intercom joins the same infrastructure as the building's telephone service. Each suite is a SIP endpoint, calls from the entrance panel ring through like any other call, and the cost is a small predictable monthly fee.

It suits buildings that already run voice services, want intercom calls to reach ordinary phones without an app, or prefer an operating cost over an upfront licence.

Native app operation: one fee per tenant, once

In app mode residents answer the door through the manufacturer's own mobile apps, with full video on iOS and Android. Each tenant is licensed with a single one time fee and there is no recurring charge after that.

It suits buildings that want the richest app experience and a cost that is paid once per tenant rather than carried every month.

The mode is decided before the products are ordered

SIP and native app operation call for different product selections, so the choice between them has to be made at design, before the intercom hardware is purchased. It is a commitment, not a toggle.

We put the two models side by side for each building, with the fee structure and the tenant experience of each, and lock the direction in writing before anything is bought. That one decision made early is what keeps the installation clean and the costs exactly what was quoted.

An intercom that can answer for you

On top of video entry, the platform can answer and route on its own: a visitor says who they are there for, deliveries and contractors are handled without a resident picking up, and anything unresolved goes to a person rather than being dropped.

Every interaction is logged, who called, who answered, which door opened, so building management holds an audit trail rather than anecdotes.

Other video intercom platforms

Some buildings arrive with a specification already written around another manufacturer's intercom line, or an existing system that needs extending rather than replacing. We supply, install and commission those platforms with the same discipline.

Whichever ecosystem the building standardizes on, the intercom is integrated with suite locks, perimeter access and the rest of the building's systems, designed, installed and commissioned by one team.

Common questions

What is the difference between SIP and app based video intercom?

In SIP operation every suite is an endpoint on the phone network and the building pays a low recurring monthly fee. In app operation each tenant runs the native mobile app under a one time per tenant licence with no monthly charge. The visitor experience at the door is the same either way.

Can a building switch between SIP and app operation later?

The mode shapes which products go on the wall, so it is settled at design, before any hardware is ordered. That is why we work through the choice with you up front rather than after installation.

Can a building intercom call my cell phone?

Yes. Residents answer on a handset, a phone or an app wherever they are, see video of the visitor and release the door remotely.

What happens to the intercom when the internet goes down?

Entry cannot wait for a connection to return, so the system is built to keep reaching residents and to keep doors behaving sensibly during an outage.

Can the intercom give couriers one time access?

Yes. Delivery and contractor access is granted for a window and then expires, with a record of who called, who answered and who was let in.

Do you install video intercoms for condos and apartment buildings?

Yes, across high rise and multi residential buildings in Mississauga, Toronto, Vaughan, Markham and the GTA, integrated with suite locks and perimeter access on one system.

How We Deliver

One team from design through commissioning

We cover the full project rather than turning up to install somebody else's design. That is what makes the result somebody's responsibility.

1

Design

We walk the building, work out what it needs to do and produce a design you can actually price against.

2

Procurement

We source the equipment and stand behind what we specify, so there is one party accountable for it.

3

Installation

Our own crews on site for cabling, mounting, terminations and containment.

4

Commissioning

Everything configured, tested and handed over with the records, credentials and documentation.

Tell us about the building

Send us the site and what you are trying to solve. We will tell you what it realistically takes.
