We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on this site. In practice that means text you can read, contrast you can see, a keyboard you can navigate with, focus you can follow, and headings that describe the page rather than decorate it.
We do not use accessibility overlay widgets. They do not fix underlying problems and they interfere with the screen readers and assistive tools people already rely on. Where something here is not accessible, we change the markup.
The work we do
Accessibility is part of what we install, not only how we publish. Automatic door operators for accessible rooms and universal washrooms are commissioned against how somebody actually uses them: opening speed, hold open time, closing force, and switches positioned clear of the door swing.
In universal washrooms we treat the emergency call as part of the system rather than an accessory, and we place call points so they can be reached from floor level, because the most likely emergency in a washroom is a fall.
