The commissioning is the job
Fitting an operator is straightforward. Setting the opening speed, the hold open time, the closing force and the switch positions so a person using a wheelchair can pass through an exit, a washroom or their own guest room door comfortably is where the work actually is.
We install and then commission against how the door is used: how far the switch is from the swing, whether somebody can clear the door before it starts closing, and whether the force is within what a person can safely meet.

Universal washrooms have their own requirements
A universal washroom needs the operator, the lock status and the emergency call to behave as one system: occupied while in use, releasable from outside in an emergency, and able to raise an alarm from inside.
We come back and adjust once people are using it
Doors settle, traffic patterns show up and timings that felt right on an empty floor often need a second pass. That adjustment is part of the work rather than a callout.
Exits and guest rooms are the hardest test
The doors people pass through most are the ones that show every commissioning shortcut. If the timings and force hold up on a busy exit, they hold up everywhere else.
The switch has to be where the hand is
An actuator mounted out of reach, behind the door swing or too far back from the approach turns a compliant door into one somebody still needs help with. Placement gets set on site against how people actually arrive at the door, not off the drawing.
Barrier Free Exit Doors
Exit and entrance doors are where barrier free design gets tested hardest. The path of travel has to work in both directions: a person has to get in without fighting the door and out without being slowed by it, at the busiest time of day the building sees.
We fit operators and push buttons on the exits people actually use, set the timings for the traffic each door takes, and connect the door to the life safety side correctly, so it releases on fire alarm, fails safe on power loss and never holds anybody up on the way out.
Barrier Free Washroom Doors
A washroom door needs more than an operator. Occupancy has to be clear from the outside, the door has to hold shut while the room is in use, and it has to be releasable in an emergency without a search for keys.

Guest Barrier Free Auto Door Solutions
For accessible guest rooms we supply and install the full set: the automatic door operator, the interior and corridor push buttons, and the wiring and programming that joins them into the room.
The operator integrates natively with the guest room lock and its wall reader, so a single presentation of the credential releases the lock and drives the door in one smooth sequence. The guest never pushes the door, and the door never fights the lock.
Commissioned to the standards that count
Ontario's Building Code barrier free requirements and CSA B651 accessible design set measurable expectations for operators: force, speed, timing and switch placement. We commission against those numbers with instruments, not by feel.
AODA obligations make accessibility an operational duty, not a construction milestone, so we return after occupancy to re verify timings under real traffic and adjust.
